This year 41st Apimondia Congress took place in Montpellier, in the south of France. It lasted from 15th to 20th of September under the leading motto "The bee, sentinel of the environment". |

The International Beekeepers' Congress combined with beekeeping exhibition 'ApiExpo' takes place every two years in different places of the world. The last one was held in Ireland and the one in 2007 was organized in Australia - as it turned out a perfect place for such an event.

The International Beekeepers' Congress "Apimondia" in Durban (The Republic of South Africa) was held between 24th of October and 4th of Novemeber 2001. Understandably, it was slightlly less sumptuous due to the considerably high transport cost connected with the ApiExpo exhibition.
