The specialized literature of beekeeping was rather limited in 1970s and 1980s. There were no or very few manuals that could be helpful for beginners. There was also a very short list of literary items concerning apiary maintenance, bee diseases and bee breeding methods. Thematic films were almost non-existent. Available information about honey and bee products seemed incomplete, particularly in relation to their usage in medicine. Less recent issues could not be bought in bookshops and it was almost impossible to acquire one. In order to remedy the situation. That is why, the Publishing House of 'Sadecki Bartnik' was established in 1996 with the purpose of improving the situation. 

In order to provide our readers the reliable source of books, albums and leaflets, we have established close cooperation with scientists and professionals in the area of beekeeping. It guarantees that the information included in our products is factual and substantive. In addition, we have also founded a film production studio where educational films and documentaries are made. Their aim is to popularize the history and taraditions of Polish beekeeping. They also are are rich source of information about essential beekeeping events such as the International Beekeepers' Congress 'Apimondia'.

Our publications are intended for everyone who is interested in beekeeping and by publishing handbooks we also propagate the knowledge of using bee products for treating a wide range of diseases and ailments of almost any kind. The authors if these publications are medical specialists with many accomplishments in their filed and with and long-standing experience. We do not cease in our efforts to make our offer more and more attractive and, at the same time, available for everyone who wants to make the most of the most precious gift given to humans by bees.
